Web Queries through Search Ads 360

Hi, can anyone pls assist? Our company has started using Okta & I've always used web queries to run reports from Search Ads 360. However, since using Okta I'm no longer able to do so & get the following message: "the web query returned no data". Not sure what kind of bypass or settings are needed to change to allow this to function. Can anyone please help or advise. Apologies if there is info lacking, I can try & provide if more is needed...

  • Hi @5b3zu (5b3zu) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

I'm not familiar with the product but based on what I was able to find online about the topic, it's dependent on a Google authentication.

Assuming that what you mean by "Our company has started using Okta" is that your company started using SAML SSO for the Google environment, you might need to re-authenticate or re-validate your connection between Excel and the Google account.

As far as I can tell from the documentation, on the first time you implement the web query you should be prompted for authentication with Search Ads 360. That authentication flow should now redirect to Okta if Okta is the new identity provider for your Google environment.

At this point, I'm not sure how much of this is within the Okta's purview but if you have a paid account with us, you could open a case (Super Admin/Case Admin permissions required) to work with my colleagues from the Support Team to investigate this further.

I would also recommend checking with Google/Microsoft support as well.

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope my answer helps!

Thank you for your response. I'll ask our IT dept to look into it & see if they can log a case to investigate further!
