Anyone know of a way to speed up AD imports? When you have tens of thousands of users and groups, it can take a long time even for incrementals.
Only thing I know of is: https://help.okta.com/en-us/content/topics/directory/ad-agent-threads.htm, which didn't seem to make a difference.

No other option currently available.
Each incremental import depends on number of changes being recorded for that import, and processing them.
For full imports, it depends on the getting all the entries that are requested, and processing them.
How many particular OUs are selected for the integration, and can those selections be reduced in any way? Each of those checkmarks is a separate query which can add up quickly.
You can suggest a Feature Enhancement for this on the Okta Community page by going to the Community→ Ideas tab. Features suggested in our community are reviewed and can be voted and commented on by other members. High popularity will increase the likelihood of it being picked up by the Product Team and it being implemented.

With regards to the agent threads...Does it mean that if I have 10 OUs checked and 10 threads configured....there are 10 queries done in parallel?
No. That only increases how many requests the agent can handle per second per thread to poll Okta for next actions. Import speed is not affected.
