it would be great if anyone can provide the steps required on both okta and FreeIPA to get this configured.

I had already gone through the provided links. The links didnt help much with our requirement.
Within IPA server there is option to setup okta as identity provider for authentication. Please refer to the attached screenshot.
we request your help in getting parameters filled from the Okta configuration.
