AnshJ.79462 (Customer) asked a question.

How to store API secrets which we will be using in Okta workflows

I am designing an okta workflow which will be using an external API.In that API,we have to provide a username and password in request body which will generate bearer token that we can use in subsequent API calls. Now I don't want to directly put those credentials directly in the body but to use some secret management tool in okta,if any.

So is there a way we can do these secret management in okta/okta workflows

Hi @AnshJ.79462 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

This is a bit out outside of my area of expertise and I wasn't able to locate any resource besides this which seems to be rather generic.

I recommend opening a case to discuss this with our Support Team to confirm if a solution exists for your particular use case.

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope my answer helps!
