Hello OKTA Support Team,
We've been encountering an issue with our SCIM (V2.0) integration with OKTA. While we are able to successfully receive new user data, we're facing difficulties when it comes to receiving updates such as modifications or deactivations of users.
Here's the specific error message we're encountering:
FAILURE: Method Not Allowed. Errors reported by remote server: Invalid JSON: Unexpected character ('<' (code 60)): expected a valid value (JSON String, Number, Array, Object or token 'null', 'true' or 'false') at [Source: (String)"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd> <html xmlns=http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"/> <title>405 - HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed.</title> <style type="text/css"> <!-- body{margin:0;font-size:.7em;font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;background:*EEEEEE;} fieldset{padding:0 15px 10px 15px;} h1{font-size:2.4em"[truncated 793 chars]; line: 1, column: 2]
It appears to be a "405 - HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed" error, suggesting that the method (PUT/PATCH) we're attempting to use is not permitted by the server.
We would appreciate your assistance in troubleshooting this issue. Could you please advise on any potential reasons for this error and whether there might be something missing from our configuration?
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Gurlal Singh

Hi @gurlals.19172 (Customer) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!
The issue could be related to the following:
https://support.okta.com/help/s/article/How-do-I-get-my-SCIM-integration-to-use-PUT-requests-instead-of-PATCH-when-updating-users-and-groups?language=en_US
That being said, this question is more appropriate for our dedicated Okta Developer Forum.
My advice would be to reach out via devforum.okta.com to take advantage of their expertise.
While we'll do our best to answer all of your questions here, this medium is more inclined towards Okta core products and features (non-developer work).
If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.
Hope my answer helps!
