Velocity Templating Language can be used to customize emails. The reference for it says that it can use custom java methods:
Apache Velocity Engine - User Guide
Could Okta email templates be customized using these java methods through VTL? If so, where would the Java files with the methods need to be located? There are also include and parse methods for files to be used in VTL, how would those be stored to be used in the templates?

They pertain to my inquiry as much as a google search can, but they don't answer the question. An identical question was asked two years ago in this forum and it was never answered, either:
Use Velocity Template file to email templates (okta.com)
The answer given did not answer the question there, either.
Thanks
