If the user enters invalid email on the first screen, then pressed "I forgot password" on the screen with password input, it shows an error "Reset password is not allowed at this time. Please contact support for assistance." Can we customize or hide this error message?

At this time that particular error message is Hard Coded and it can not be changed. However you can add a Feature Request on our Idea section, for a chance that this functionality to be added in the future.
