Setting up SCIM on a Previously Set up SAML Integration

Hello,

I am currently trying to set up SCIM for two applications that we are currently using. The two applications are set up using SAML and are already assigned out to users at our company. Initially I tried to see if I could set up a separate integration for the same application that contained SCIM and then once I finished testing it I would switch the users over to the new integration. I found however, that the way the integrations are set up in the applications this would not be possible, which leads me to my question.

If I was to set up SCIM on the integrations that we are already using, would SCIM affect the users that are already assigned the application or would it only affect future users that we assign the application? If it only affects future users, would I have to remove and add users back into the integration in order for them to get caught into the automation rules?

Hello @ak6rf (ak6rf) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!

If the users are already assigned to the application the provisioning settings will not work by default. You will need to use the function from the Assignment tab "Provision User" which will populate your assigned users with an ExternalID and make all provisioning settings available for them.
