901tt (901tt) asked a question.

Username and password in "bookmarks"

Hello!

I am adding "not found" applications between the Okta panel, so they remain as "bookmarks", an example is "chatGPT" which asks for the site URL and name but not a specific user, so if I assign this to multiple Users of my organization will each log in with their email and password. If they must access a particular chat in my GPT chat account, I will have to give them my email and password (which is not functional). I would like it to work like the other applications, where I must enter a username and password, like Google Domains and the rest. I would appreciate it if anyone knew how to make this happen or if you could tell me that it is now impossible.

I appreciate your attention.

    Hi, @901tt (901tt)

Thank you for posting on our Community page!

Basically, that is working as intended. This integration only allows "Bookmark-only" sign-in options.

    Bookmark-only

The Bookmark-only sign-in option is the simplest mode supported for an app integration. When the end user launches the app integration, Okta opens the sign-in page for the external application, but doesn't perform SSO. No username or password information is passed to the external application, so no configuration is required.

Thank you for reaching out to our Community and have a great day!

Hi @User16594883467582706479 (Customer Support Online Experience)

    Thanks for your answer

I understand what you mean, but this being the case, it is not very useful when I want to give my team limited access without them knowing the passwords of our apps. I find SSO very useful, but considering that at least half of our applications are not among the native Okta integrations, it is not the best option for my team, right?

I would like to know the other options for the needs raised. I would greatly appreciate it if you could show me new routes or tell me if it is not helpful for us.
