Hello, I am trying to integrate SAML sso into our web app and I would like to fetch Firstname, and Lastname from the SamlCredential after successful authentication but the list is always empty, am I missing something to configure in the admin okta dashboard while creating the application?

I would assume you are using a Custom SAML application for this, by default the app sends just the username information in the SAML assertion. You need to manually add the desired attributes to be sent in the assertion. For this you can see the below article:
