I’m really struggling to find an easy way for our users to use mobile apps with Okta. I know Okta mobile was discontinued, but removing the ability to use SWA without having a working replacement is discouraging.

Out of the 20 apps we use, only 2 support SAML. The rest we must use SWA.

When users try to access a website through an iPad, it says you must install the extension, but then it takes you to the Apple Store and says the safari extension is not supported.

When users try to use it on their phone, it requires them to copy/paste the password. But our passwords for many apps are shared (no support for individual accounts), and Okta prevents the user from revealing the password.

Are there any other suggestions on how to make this work? Is there anyway to override the default settings and allow passwords to be revealed, even if not an admin? We don’t want users creating accounts and storing passwords, so we create the user accounts and passwords for them and store them in Okta. But then users cannot access them via mobile apps, which is problematic. The only workaround we found is to set the app so that the admin sets the username and password per user, and then change the setting so the user sets it - then we can set the passwords as admins and then let the user reveal them. But that only works if have individual user accounts for each user (for shared username/password, have to enter the password in for each user so they can reveal).

Any suggestions other than what we are doing today? I know sharing passwords is not ideal, but for many apps creating individual users is not an option, and SAML not supported.
