ey5mz (ey5mz) asked a question.

Okta FastPass with Window Hello (face recognition) requires pressing OK button - can we do away the OK button

The issue with the OK button is that, it could be displayed at another monitor, not at the laptop where the camera is. When we looked away from the camera, the face recognition failed, while we have to glance at where the OK button is.

How to do away the need to press OK button?

As comparison to see the inconsistency, when we chose PIN or fingerprint at Okta FastPass, it does not need OK button to be pressed.

Hi @ey5mz (ey5mz) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

I did some digging and confirmed that this is the security feature that is built in the operating system. You see the OK button to avoid inadvertent unlocking of Windows Hello if you are in front of the camera.

I'm not sure that changing this behaviour is within Okta's purview but you can suggest this on the Okta Community page by going to the Community Ideas tab. Features suggested in our community are reviewed and can be voted and commented on by other members. High popularity will increase the likelihood of it being picked up by the Product Team and it being implemented.
