Getting CSV import error when attempting to import users via csv for a group

Hi all!

I've been attempting to import via CSV however, hitting errors:

Please review the CSV file and correct the following error(s):

  • Required CSV header was missing
  • Expected exactly 1 entry in row but found 4

I have checked the headers, there seems to be variations so have tired multiple instances. I am using excel and saving via csv. I have also attempting in text editor as well. I am on a mac device.

Headers:

Username,emailf,irstName,lastName

Username was also tested with login, userIdOrLogin (from OKTA template), documentation also states - username, firstname, lastname, and email. However, I am still encountering this error. \

Thanks!

  • Hello @AlienaA.67350 (Customer) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!

For Group CSV import you do not need all those attributes, you just need the username attribute/row. That what the error refers to, that you have 4 rows and the CSV should have only 1.

    Thanks - managed to resolved.

Retried the exact same steps today but with 1 attribute as initially tested before exploring adding the other attributes.

    Working well! thanks
