Hi Team,
I am currently configuring individual Okta groups to assign our o365 licensing so we can manage licenses in bulk.
I was hoping to be able to leave Office 365 admin roles as a manual application using the tick box for each user but it is greyed out after assigning the Okta 365 license groups. Is there any way to be able to assign roles manually if we are using Okta groups to apply 0365 licenses?

No, this is not possible.
You can however covert the assignment from Group to Individual for specific users as needed if their number is manageable. Otherwise, it might be more feasible to create other dedicated groups just for the admins.

I would advise you to exercise caution when dealing with app assignments for Admin accounts if you've already added them to the app, to avoid accidental permissions/role/license overrides.

The Groups for O365 are cumulative, so if you add the Admin groups to the app assignments, users will get both the standard O365 licences and the Admin licences if they exist in both groups
