he94u (he94u) asked a question.

Okta Verify stopped working after my phone updated to Android 14. How can I get it working again?

My phone was automatically updated to Android 14 Beta (I was previously on Android 13 Beta and everything worked just fine). Now I can get push notifications, but when I click on them to get into my work account I get the error "Failed to send Push Authentication". I can no longer user the app to get into my work account. Is there any way to enable Push (it's enabled in my system settings)? If not, is there a plan to support Android 14, if that's the reason it's not working?

    Thanks! That worked!

    1. Remove all accounts from Okta Verify
    2. Force Stop the app
    3. Clear the storage
    4. Clear the cache
    5. Open Okta Verify
    6. Re-add all of your accounts

My handset also updated to Android 14 and Okta verify does not work. Currently having to use an old handset running Android 11.

Is there a timescale for support for Android 14 please?

Legend, that worked for me too! Thanks very much 😀

I also updated over the weekend with Android 14, it also now fails with both the push notification and displaying codes.

It showed default user instead of a code for access.

After I cleared my storage/cache on the okta app and re-setup my MFA it worked. So the update broke it but after reinstall "fixes" it. Hope this helps.

    • @ynlud (ynlud) @ynlud (ynlud) I am having the same issue in Moto Edge 30 Pro. But it's running on Android 13 not 14. The issue started only after Android 13 upgrade before that it was fine. I tried the given steps on my phone but still issue remains. Any suggestions, please?
