Anyone having issues with Okta Plugin not working full for SWA apps when accessed via browser bookmark?

Anyone having issues with Okta Plugin not working fully for SWA apps when accessed via browser bookmark?

Starting last week and continuing today, we have had several users reporting that the Okta Browser Plugin is not logging them into SWA apps that they have bookmarked. If the user has a bookmark to a SWA app in their Chrome/Edge/FF/etc browser prior to last week they were automatically getting logged in thanks to the Okta Browser Plugin. They did not have to click anything in the Okta plugin rather just had to go to the SWA site via a browser bookmark and they would automatically get logged in. Now it seems the Okta Browser Plugin is prompting them to authenticate and when they do it looks like they authenticate fine as they get a checkmark in a green circle in the Okta Browser Plugin popup that then goes away but their credentials don't get pushed and the app does not auto submit. If users either go to their Okta Dashboard and press the SWA app card or open the Okta Browser Plugin and select the SWA app the get automatically logged in.

Thanks for the feedback! Your questions were some of the things we asked and looked into. I ended up opening a support ticket with Okta Support. I'm sorry for the delay in my response but recently the support case for this issue was closed and I wanted to provide an update in case it helps others.

This is what Okta Support had to say in the end about our case (01711742).

"We cannot guarantee that the browser plugin pop-up will work for custom applications when accessing the app using the direct URL (SP flow)."

Hello @MatthewH.10249 (State of Iowa) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!

There has been no new release for the Plugin lately that could case a malfunction. Have the users checked if they are logged in into the plugin prior to accessing the bookmark?

Also, was the URL for the SWA application changed? This could distort the flow of login into the application, if any changes to the URL have been done.

Can this issue be reproduced at will?
