19egq (19egq) asked a question.

2 Okta instances where Atlassian Groups appear from other okta instance

We have two instances of Okta running 1. Trial 2. Eu-prod.

I integrated our confluence with okta trial version. I created groups in okta that were then pushed to confluence. Now that we have Eu-prod okta running, we get issues with groups. In the Eu-prod Okta, I can see groups that I created in the original trial version. The worst part is that I can not delete these groups.

Can you please help us here on how to clean up these unused and unwanted groups ?

Hello @19egq (19egq) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!

I would be safe to assume that you have Provisioning enabled for the integration. With provisioning enabled you have the ability to import groups from the target application, in this case the groups that were pushed from trial account are being imported into Production.

You can disable this feature from the provisioning tab, integration there you will have a check mark for "Import groups". Once you disable this, it should also remove the groups imported from the application.

Or you can remove the groups from pushed from the trial Okta org.
