OktaA.20132 (Customer) asked a question.

Why is Okta bringing the users email instead of the username in Teams and Outlook mobile?

Before upgrading to Okta OIE, when someone was trying to access teams or outlook via mobile, on the okta screen, it used to bring the Username of the user, there the user just needed to type its password and that was it. Now, after the update, its bringing the email address (just like the login screen from microsoft), which is causing troubles to our users. Since Okta takes the username as a Login and not the email. Its returning a login error (Unable to sign in) and now the user has to delete the email and put in the username and password (an extra step). Is anybody else experiencing the same issue here? Please let me know.

Hello @OktaA.20132 (Customer)  Thank you for reacting out to our Community!

For OIE the pre-populated username field is done by the application. So if in Teams or Outlook, your users have the e-mail as the login username, then that is what it will be populated in Okta and this is expected behaviour.
