Is it possible to integrate SSSD with Okta's LDAP interface? Or is it still hamstrung 5 years later?

At this time Linux-based PAM authentication is not supported, as per our documentation here:

However you can add a Feature Request on our Idea section, for a chance that this functionality to be added in the future.
