y9il5 (y9il5) asked a question.

Is MFA possible using Radius without ASA for Cisco Anyconnect VPN

Is it possible to set up MFA with Okta's Radius Agent without the use of of a Cisco ASA if I am utilizing Cisco Anyconnect? The related documentation I am finding for Cisco/Radius MFA integration requires an ASA to set up properly.

  • Hi @y9il5 (y9il5) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

ASA and Anyconnect seem to be going "hand-in-hand". I wasn't able to locate any resource to indicate that the implementation can be done the way you described.

My advise would be to check with Cisco support as well - if it's possible, you might be able to just use a generic/custom RADIUS app integration:

    https://help.okta.com/en-us/Content/Topics/integrations/Okta_Radius_App-gen-add-app.htm

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope my answer helps!
