x8tnn (x8tnn) asked a question.

Clear unconfirmed users is not working, users not getting cleared, no error

From Directory - Directory Integrations - CSV Directory - Import tab, I'm trying to clear unconfirmed users that are there from the last import I did yesterday. But nothing happens and there's no error.

From syslog I enter eventType eq "system.import.complete" AND target.id eq "ID of the app" (I enter the real ID), and the result is 'import process complete' and 'success', so the last one I did isn't still running.

I now see I am having the same problem with an active directory source we did an import from this morning. I'm trying to clear those unconfirmed users also and having the same problem.

I've turned in a support ticket, just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this before and had any suggestions.

Thank you

Hi!! Thank you for coming to the Okta community for your question.

When we say "clear" unconfirmed users at the import tab, do you mean just have that notification go away? What is most likely happening is that you have "Auto-confirm" turned off and these users are being picked up during the import process.

If you do not want them to be imported into Okta, then I would recommend you select the user and choose instead to "IGNORE this user for now". This will not import the unconfirmed user and will also ensure that this pesky notification is removed from immediate view.

The good thing about this option is that it is not permanent. You can always choose later to view "IGNORED" users later.

You can clear the unconfirmed users, but keep in mind you will see the below warning:

imageIt does state that users can be added again by running a new import. If you are scheduling your imports, you may find that this does not do much for you as they will come right back once the import runs. Ignoring the users is actually persistent across imports, so I would favor that solution depending on your need.

    I hope that helps! Thanks!

FYI, the actual application you are importing from and the number of unconfirmed users will be unique for each user. This is just a good example from my preview org. Hope it helps!
