Update User Permission in Groups after adding scope to applications.

Hi,

I added scopes in applications, and then try to add the permissions to users in groups. However in the group setting, I'm not able to find the added scope in the user permission. What should be the way to add the scopes in the group's user permission? Thanks.

Hi! So to clarify, are you adding the users’ groups to a claim/scope via API Access Management? Thus, allowing or disallowing certain actions in the application based on the groups of which they are a member?

If so, please take a look at the following link:

Add a Groups claim for the Org Authorization Server

Two things to keep in mind here:

    • This solution is recommended to be used with Okta-sourced groups only.
    • For an Okta org auth server, you can only create an ID token with the groups claim, not an access token.

Otherwise, if you are attempting to perform a different action, please do let me know and I will assist further in the best way I know how. Thanks!
