rbpu0 (rbpu0) asked a question.
Hello,
I am trying to authentication Jira with OKTA.
I used the following URL to configure OKTA with JIRA.
https://saml-doc.okta.com/SAML_Docs/How-to-Configure-SAML-2.0-for-Jira-On-Premise-SAML.html
After configuring, I see that I am asked to login to OKTA(username and password) .After that I come to JIRA home page and over here I am again asked to enter my username and password in JIRA and then I log in
My use case is I wanted to be windows authenticated by OKTA once and directly login to JIRA without entering anywhere username and password
How do I do this. Any articles and documentation will be helpful
Thanks
Kapil

Hi @rbpu0 (rbpu0) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!
It sounds like the JIRA integration is not properly set up. If you are signed into Okta and click on the JIRA Icon the it should log you in without being prompted for credentials. I recommend revisiting the implementation to see what might have been missed with the configuration.
As for the "windows authentication" part, I assume you are referring to Desktop Single Sign-On. Please review the following documentation for details, requirements and instructions.
https://help.okta.com/en-us/Content/Topics/Directory/Configuring_Agentless_SSO.htm
If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.
Hope my answer helps!
