How to Sync a Created/Updated User's Title from Okta to Microsoft
I would like to be able to push either an update to a user's profile-attribute section for the value Title or have that value pushed through upon creation of a new user. I currently have Microsoft federated with Okta, however I have my Provisioning to App set up with Profile Sync which appears to be the most limited amongst the other options. Anyway, I was wondering what steps I need to take in order to create an attribute for a user's Title since it is not one of the default options, and be able to set that up so that it will sync from Okta to Microsoft. The Workflows forum you are posting in is for building out custom use cases. From what you described you should likely pursue determining if the built-in provisioning can handle this process by setting mapping through the available app/users profiles in the Okta Admin dashboard for the application in question.
I would suggest making this same inquiry in the Lifecycle Management or even Universal Directory section as it more closely applies to your ask.
However, if what you are attempting to do does not have an out-of-the-box solution then it "Might" be possible to accomplish it with Workflows assuming the attribute you are attempting to modify in Microsoft allows modification via their API. This will be dependent on if an API exists to perform the action AND if the attribute is allowed to be changed which can be dictated by who owns the attribute via Profile Sourcing. So if the profiles are sourced by Okta and "synced" to Microsoft then Microsoft may have the profiles locked for modification by their API.
