What is the wait time for cleanUp to get completed for adding a new Attribute with same name as recently deleted
Okta E0000001 (Api validation failed: updateAppUserSchemas - You cannot add the attribute with the variable name 'email' because the deletion process for an attribute with the same variable name is incomplete. Wait until the data clean up process finishes and then try again.)
Here we would like to know Time taken for deletion process to be completed.

Just a quick Note: Your question is about Okta Universal Directory and this question was made in the Okta Workflow product forum. You typically will have better results if your question aligns with the proper category.
I performed some research on this issue. And the "Time Taken" is going to be variable depending on the total amount of users inside the organization. When you delete a variable it immediately schedules a job to run the "clean up" against every user in the org. Until the job completes it will not allow you to perform the change. This was put in place to prevent data corruption in the user profiles.
So in an organization with barely any users this would be near immediate. For a larger organization with lets say millions of users it could take considerably longer.
I have a ticket currently opened with Okta to understand this data clean up process. Not much info out there.
Did you learn anything about it since you posted this that you can share? Anything helps at this point, we have to delete and recreate several attributes in Okta default and Directory profiles.
