DanK.18939 (Customer) asked a question.
I have 2 domains on the same O365 tenant, domain1.com and domain2.com, and each domain is set up in Okta as its own federated application, okta app domain1.com and okta app domain2.com. What I would like to do is change all of the accounts from domain1.com over to domain2.com and not have to migrate the email but just change the O365 account over to domain2.com. If I go into O365, I can setup an alias for domain2.com and change it to the primary account, but I am unable to make the same change to their username, the only option is for the existing domain1.com. This is not ideal as existing users would have to remember to always sign in with domain1.com.
Am I safe in assuming my only options are the following, change the default email address to domain2.com and just have the user sign into Okta/O365 with username@domain1.com. Set up the user's new account in Okta with domain2.com and migrate the existing data from domain1.com to domain2.com, or remove federation from both domains, make all of the changes at O365, and then set up the O365 integration with federation in Okta again.
Thanks.
Daniel

Hi, @DanK.18939 (Customer)
Thank you for posting on our Community page!
I have done some research and the easiest way to achieve your end goal is to remove federation.
Hope this helps!

Laura,
Thanks for the information. When I break federation for the 2 domains, do I need to worry about any license issues as O365 app licensing are set via Okta group.
