Scaleft Client (sft.exe) url handler starts always windows powershell, I want that it will start windows terminal instead
Hi,
we are using Okta ASA a few months now, so far all works pretty good. One thing I cannot get solved, is to configure the scaleft url handler (ex. scaleft://app.scaleft.com/t/okta-demo-only/a/ubuntu-target/ssh) to open the connection within a windows terminal instead of windows powershell. Also there is no configuration option to change this behavior.
Is there any way to change this?
I am working on a windows 10 version 21H2 by the way, our installed Okta ASA Client is version sft version 1.62.3 which is the latest stable I think.
Any ideas are welcome 🙂

I have done some research and unfortunately there is no way in which you could change the Scaleft url handler to start in a windows terminal. Currently it can only be opened in PowerShell.
If you would like to see such functionality, I would recommend to submit a feature request. The best way to file a feature request would be from the community site.
Once feature requests are submitted they are visible to other Okta admins, who can vote on them to provide more visibility. Using this method will allow you to maintain visibility on your feature requests throughout the process.
