Hello!
I have a potentially quick question. I have an idea of how it works but I just want to verify before I push any changes in case it affects the Organizational Units that we utilize for Google Workspaces. I am working to set up OU's for assignment groups in Okta for Google Workspaces (for SCIM provisioning) and I see how to set the priority for assignment groups. Before I set everything up I just want to verify if a user is in two assignment groups (for example, one with a priority of 1 and the other with a priority of 4), does that mean that the user will be moved into the OU assigned to the group with a priority of 1 over the other groups? I just want to make sure that the 1 priority group takes precedence over the other groups.
Thank you for any insight that you can provide.

And I also want to add... if I turn on provisioning, will it affect the current users that are already provisioned in Google Workspaces, or will it only affect new users that are created?
Hi @k28j6 (k28j6),
Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!
I have done some research and it seems that the user will inherit the profile from whichever group they are a member of that is highest in the priority, as per the documentation provided below:
In addition to the above, I would also recommend to check if the option “Combine values across groups” is disabled to make sure that the user will inherit the profile from one group and not from all. The below documentation provides a scenario on how this functionality works:
In regards to your second inquiry, it depends on what Provisioning options you have enabled for this specific application. I have provided below a documentation with the provisioning options available for Google Workspace:
Also, keep in mind that users assigned to an application before provisioning is enabled are not automatically provisioned:
I hope the above information is useful!
