CarlosT.89087 (Customer) asked a question.

Authentication using Embedded SSO with custom website and database that handles the authentication

We have a custom WebSite that authenticates a username and password. We do not want Okta to store users or passwords. Is there an option to configure IdP and SP using embedded SSO?

Hello @CarlosT.89087 (Customer) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!

Without the user being present in the Okta environment, the Okta authentication can not happen. Users need to be present in Okta for any type of authentication to happen. As for passwords do not need to be preset for the authentication to happen.
