Workday to Okta- Get the secondary email address

Hello,

I'm using the Workday connector to import profiles from Workday to Okta, enable provisioning and assign them applications in Okta. I have several custom and base attributes which are being sent from WD and all seem to be appearing ok except the secondary email and alias address. Both of these are in the format of an email address and I cannot get this value from Workday. I even tried to create a custom attribute for secondary email but that didn't work either.

One of the articles mentioned to use the homeemail variable coming from Workday but I cannot see this under Add an Attribute -> Profile editor for WD.

Has anyone here experienced this issue and what was the fix to get the secondary email address from Workday?

Thank you.

Hi @u7n8v (u7n8v) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

I was looking into this and found a similar report from someone claiming to have solved it from the Workday side and I quote:

" This is working now, as on workday side a security group is not assigned to this attribute. "

Unfortunately, I don't have any other details and I was not able to find any public documentation from Workday on the subject. You might need to have an account with them to review their knowledge base.

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope my answer helps!

Thank you Mihai for your response. I was able to check on the Workday side and Enable access to private email addresses and non-primary email addresses

(Grant "Get" and "View" access to Security Policy "Person Data: Home Email" and "Person Data: Work Email")

Hope this helps anyone experiencing this issue. Thank you.
