e48q2 (e48q2) asked a question.
I'll try to explain my situation as best as possible. We previously had scan to email setup with Microsoft on our copier machine. Everything was working fine up until we changed Single Sign On for Microsoft to Okta. Ever since then, we've been running into a bad username/password authentication when trying to scan to email. How would we use SMTP and how would we authenticate the user that we created for the email address? Tried to create a manual user in Okta and mirror the password, but no luck. Tried to use the .onmicrosoft.com email for the email address, still no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi @e48q2 (e48q2),
Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!
The issue might be caused due to an Okta/Office misconfiguration when the switch was done, therefore I would recommend to review the setup between Okta and Office and make sure that everything was configured as per your organisation needs especially if provisioning was enabled:
Additionally, I have managed to find the below documentation about Okta Office SMTP but this applies in case the users are not mastered by Active Directory:
I hope the above information is useful!

Thanks! What do you mean by not mastered by Active Directory?
Good morning,
Just an update on the issue. I was able to create a new .onmicrosoft.com and that worked.
Thank you!
