xdhc8 (xdhc8) asked a question.
We have a large number of Google Analytics accounts that are shared among users.
We currently have an issue with these shared accounts as Google will prompt users with a login challenge which requires IT intervention to turn off the login challenge for 10 minutes.
I know there is a SWA integration with Okta for Google Analytics however this isn't a SAML/SSO authentication so we are still prompted with the login challenge from Google upon logging into the SP.
In Google Workspace's settings you can set 'logins using SSO bypass additional verifications' so that the login challenge doesn't appear, but since this integration is using SWA via the Okta Chrome extension, we are still getting prompted for the login challenge.
Is there a way to set up these Google Analytics accounts using the Google Workspace SAML integration? I can create new Google Workspace SAML integrations for each Google Analytics account but the problem is that each new integration will require a separate SSO profile setup within Google and with close to 100 Google Analytics accounts, this will get very messy.

Hi @xdhc8 (xdhc8),
Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!
Unfortunately, I am not sure if it is possible to use the Google Workspace SAML app for an integration between Okta and Google Analytics, therefore my recommendation would be to try and configure a custom SAML application using the Application Integration Wizard functionality as shown below:
On another note, if you would like to try and use the Google Workspace app for Google Analytics, I would recommend to test this on a sandbox environment to make sure that no users are affected while testing because once SAML is configured, all authentications will have to go through Okta when someone will try to access the app.
I hope the above information is useful!
