Okta Application Not Applying for User After Being Set for Everyone

Hi,

 

One of our users suddenly had an application no longer work for them. When looking into their account it looks like the application needed is there but when looking at it from the user end we can see that it's not available for the user. Normally I would undo the access for the user and re-add them into the application but in this case it's already set for everyone. This would mean that if I were to undo access it would undo access to all users. I'm not sure what issues this may cause. Does anyone know of a way to go about fixing this issue?

    To remove an individual user without removing the group assignment... On the People tab, locate the user and select the pencil icon on the right. On the Edit User Assignment dialog, select "Administrator (overrides group)" and click the Save button. Back on the People tab, click the 'X' on the right to remove the user's assignment.

    Hi Joseph Suh,

    To debug the issue you can verify that is there any other user facing this issue ? Also check whether this user is able to access the application through SP initiated SSO.

    Generally application is not visible due to below issue -

    • Application Visibility is set to Do not display application icon to users under General tab of the Application, OR
    • Assigning the application triggered a corresponding task that failed.
