Searching for up to date Okta to Google Cloud Platform/Identity integration documentation/process

I'm searching around for the method to integrate Okta with a customers Google Cloud Identity to provide access to their Google Cloud Platform. The documentation I'm reading references the "G Suite" app which I can't find in the trial Okta account I set up. The documentation is roughly 3-4 years old and I'm wondering what the correct process is.

The customer wants to utilize Okta as their IDP from on-prem AD, authenticate, send to Cloud Identity and allow people in the specific groups the ability to use the Google cloud console.

  • Hi @zte7o (zte7o) , Thank you for reaching out to the Okta Community!

It's just a matter of Google rebranding from "GSuite" to "Google Workspace". The doc highlights the fact that if you have a preexisting SAML configuration, you can piggy-back off of that.

As you can see in the example below, the URL references "Google Apps" which was the branding before "GSuite", but the information is still valid.

If my answer helped, remember to mark it as best to increase its visibility for other members of the Okta Community who might have the same questions as you.

    Hope it helps!
