hk7aj (hk7aj) asked a question.

Geo restrictions / fence

hello, what's the best way to restrict access to Okta from other countries? Trying to maintain / create a rule the has every country listed to block doesn't seem to make sense. Dynamic zone we created and just added United States doesn't seem to restrict outside the states. I'm thinking you set the blocked IPs "ANY" and then the Dynamic Zone would allow the US but would like to get input lest we block ourselves.....

Hello @hk7aj (hk7aj) Thank you for reacting out to our Community!

Please do not block any and then allow just specific IP's, because Okta will evaluate Block IP's first and you will get the Org locked for authentication. The best way to do this would be to block each country and just leave US not blocked, we understand that this required a lot of manual work, but the bright side is that this needs to be done just once.
