Okta profile attribute edited by Okta group assignment
Is there a way to use Okta group membership to edit a user's Okta profile? My use case is getting the userType field populated by manual Okta group assignment for permissions assignment in an application that group is assigned to. I have 3 outputs that I would like to see (3 separate groups) used in this way that would edit the user's profile upon assignment and removal of the Okta group.

Thank you for posting on the Okta community page!
I have done some research on my end and I couldn't find an out of the box implementation for you to achieve this use case, but I believe you could achieve this through Workflows. You would have to create a workflow card based on the group assignment event to update the userType attribute on the Okta user profile by using the "Update user" card.
