In various knowledge base articles, the "Password Policy - Does Not Contain Part of Username" functionality describes the parts of a username as being the portions of the user email separated by punctuation. Which symbols are considered punctuation for this functionality?

As per our documentation:
"Does not contain part of username: A username is defined by the string that precedes the @ symbol in a given email address. For example, in johnsmith@okta.com, the username is johnsmith. Checking this option rejects any password that contains part or all of the username."

This article (https://support.okta.com/help/s/article/Password-rejected-even-though-it-meets-all-requirements?language=en_US) has the following line:
"When this setting is enabled, the password policy evaluates the username as "parts" that are separated by punctuation" (my emphasis)
It appears that a period is considered punctuation, but not a plus sign.
My question is specifically about which symbols are considered punctuation for the purposes of this rule.
