We are attempting to use Workday's real-time sync for our termination process so that immediate terminations will be processed immediately. We followed the documentation provided by Okta to configure it, but it wasn't working as intended. We opened a support case with Workday, and were given this information back:

"As your integration is subscribed to the Terminate Employee Event, this means it needs to wait for the Complete = Yes step in the Termination Business Process to complete (looks like it is currently configured for "Assign Roles to Worker"). If you want this to occur earlier, you would need to modify the BP, but before doing so you'll want to review and make sure there are no adverse impacts caused by such a modification.

If you need assistance / review of your business processes, we suggest you open a separate case with Human Resources / Business Process for review (we'll keep the focus for Integration in this case).

Note that I am seeing your integration is both Subscribed AND setup as a step on the Termination BP. This is generally not recommended as it causes a double-run of the integration to occur when a worker is terminated. "

So this makes it seem like altering the business process won't be a viable solution for us, since the Termination process would need to complete fully before the real-time sync could disable the account in question, which for us can sometimes be several hours to days.

Has anyone else out there run into a similar situation, and if so, how are you handling it/getting around it? Please let me know what other information I can provide to make the issue more clear.
