AD Agent throwing an error: Okta.Agent.MaxAttemptsException

One of my AD Agents is throwing an error Okta.Agent.MaxAttemptsException. We have checked the agent by logging in directly and the agent is healthy and running. I deactivated the agent and reactivated it in the console and it is now running. I'm curious if anyone has faced this error and what the source of the error is as I can't find any documentation on the error code itself. Thank you

    Thank you for posting on our Okta community page to help you troubleshoot!

     

    I have done some research on my end in regards to this error message and there would be two ways in which it could be resolved.

     

    1. You could try to re-install the AD agent in cause since this might be a sync issue and re-installing the agent might resolve the error.
    2. Please make sure that the AD Agent in cause uses the latest version and if not, you can update it by following the bellow documentation:

    We are also seeing the same error In sys logs and Import monitoring logs during the Full import for AD agents.

    What is the reason for this ?

    Our AD agents are up to date and working fine. Re-installing the agents don't make sense until we get to know the RCA for this error.
