Office 365 Pass Claim For MFA - Trial

Hello OKTA team,

We've trying to evaluate the option to satisfy O365 MFA requirement from OKTA as described in the link below. According to the docs, this feature needs to be enabled in the EA section but this option is not available.

https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Apps/Office365/Use_Okta_MFA_Azure_AD_MFA.htm

Could it be because we're using a trial account? If so, can you please enable it for the duration of the trial? Thank you.

Regards,

Carlos

  • Hello @d52ip (d52ip)

    Thanks for posting.

This EA feature is to satisfy the Azure AD MFA requirements for your WS-Federation Office 365 app instance. If you don't have any Azure AD MFA requirements in your environment, you don't need to enable this feature. If you need MFA for Office 365, you can simply configure an app sign on policy for your WS-Federation Office 365 app instance.

Super admins can bypass Okta Support and enable self-service Early Access and beta features for their org. In Help Center, EA features display a banner indicating whether they are self-service or require additional configuration by Okta Support.

    1. In the Admin Console, go to Settings > Features. All features that your organization is eligible to use based on your subscription are listed.
    2. Select whether you want to auto-enroll your org in all future Early Access features. Super admins will receive an email when their org is auto-enrolled in an EA feature or if the auto-enrollment fails. Note: Auto-enroll also includes Early Access features with known limitations, without prompting you to view and accept the limitations.
    3. Click Edit.
    4. Select the features you want to enable. Click the help icons for details about the feature.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please open a support case with us and we can assist you further.

Let us know if this helps you.

    Hi Daniela,

Thanks for following up. Unfortunately, I still don't see option when I follow your instructions. The instructions clearly state:

    • Enable this feature in Okta EA Feature Manager
    • Enable Office 365 Pass Claim For MFA feature in Okta EA Feature Manager. as described in Manage Early Access and Beta features.

Is there a way for you to enable that feature?

    Thanks in advance.
