ts2ql (ts2ql) asked a question.

OKTA Radius Server agent on Linux 20.04.4 LTS, "This code is invalid or a processing error occurred"

Hi guys,

I am trying to get a running OKTA Radius agent on Linux and test it for a client of ours that is using Okta.

I am using 2.17.2.deb installer version since we have an Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS distribution.

(i am following the guide in: https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/integrations/Agent_install_linux-install.htm)

We are getting the error: "This code is invalid or a processing error occurred"

when we prompt the administrator to enter the "Authorization code provided by an application".

the URL:

Please visit the URL https://**************.okta.com/oauth2/auth?code=********* before Wed Mar 09 08:28:00 UTC 2022 to authenticate and continue agent registration.

is generated as it should from the terminal, during installation.

Then the administrator is entering the generated API Token in the time frame, as instructed in: https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Security/API.htm

in section: "Create Okta API tokens" - Security > API > Create Token button

but is getting the above stated "This code is invalid or a processing error occurred"

I saw in the FAQ: https://support.okta.com/help/s/article/Linux-radius-agent-shows-error-This-code-is-invalid-or-a-processing-error-occurred?language=en_US

that it says, that probably the URL is the problem, but I triple checked, tried another time which resulted in the same error. Can you give me some advice on what could be wrong?

I would be happy to provide more information if needed.

Best Regards!

Zinovi

*** We resolved the issue. It turned out the clock was not synchronized and set on the propper timezone. When I did that and tried again - it worked.
