SteveV.56889 (Customer) asked a question.
Our company has been having internal discussions regarding Okta and what would happen if their services were down. We have many business critical applications configured with SAML that would not be accessible. Would we have to contact the vendors and have them disable SAML if Okta was down for an extended period of time? Is there some kind of backup SAML provider that could be used (not sure that is possible)? Or do you just say it is what it is and we hope Okta doesnt go down for an extended period of time? Really interested to see if this is something other companies have discussed, and what the outcome was. Thanks

Hello
Thanks for posting.
Okta is built on an “Always On” architecture. You can always go to https://status.okta.com/ to see our high reliability metrics and to learn more about the reliability of our service.
If our services were to go down, you would not be able to log in to your Okta organization and access your applications via Single Sign-‐On. However, some applications might still be accessible through a direct link.
