Delete personal Okta account

Hi!

 

I signed up (with my personal email) on okta.com as I wanted to create an application. Later, I realised I had to create an account on developer.okta.com. So now, I'm left with this "invalid" account. I'm not able to contact support as that page says I'm a community-only member. I'm not able to go to admin dashboard as that gives me a 403.

 

Kindly advise what my next steps should be to delete this account.

    Hey @User16254393570754125507 (Okta)​, thank you for responding.

     

    I tried emailing support@okta.com, but I got a response saying that that email address cannot be used to open new support requests. At this point, I'm unable to do anything. The mentioned ways to get help cannot work.

     

    1. Visiting the Help Center - doesn't seem to cover this topic.
    2. Ask the community - I'm already doing that.
    3. Call support - I'd rather not incur international call charges for such a simple thing.
    4. Open a case - Doesn't work without admin privileges.

     

    Could this forums thread be somehow considered to get rid of my account?

    This is total bullshit!!!

     

    Sending an email gives an auto response:

     

    "This email address is no longer used for submitting new cases to Okta Support"

     

    Then you're instructed to open a case, which yields:

     

    "You Do Not Have Access to Create a Case"

     

    Please remove my account from your platform.

    I have same I want to delete my account!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

     

    My story:

    2 (yes two) years ago I tried to register okta.com account, but I have never ever (NEVER!) confirm & activated my account! From this two years I'm receiving SPAM messages from "Weekly Okta Help Center Digest for Community Central" & I can't cancel this or change this (I need to login to change this but I never finally confirm account!!!!!!).

    One more time I have never ever confirm my account via any link so if you will try to register any email this email will start to receiving OKTA SPAM without confirmation from this moment!!

     

    Today I was trying to fix this again (I was sick of this emails), I register again with okta.com & this time I confirmed email & I think that was biggest mistake ever!

     

    Now I'm not able to:

    • change email
    • remove account
    • create support case as I have no admin rights, so the advice is "If you are authenticated via your Okta Administrator credentials and still see this message, please open a case with Okta Customer Support by emailing support@okta.com or calling:"
    • when I sending this email I have "Unfortunately, this email address is no longer used for submitting new cases to Okta Support. To get support from Okta, please use one of the following methods below" - Open a case
    • to open support page I need to provide my Phone number or configure my 2-step authentication via my phone
    • I can't call as there is no phone for my country
    • I can't speak with anyone via chat I can only request product meeting, not mention that chat started in Swedish language & I'm far away from Sweden!!

     

    There is no way to speak with anyone or change this, THIS IS NONSENSE!!!!!

    You - OKTA you're sending SPAM messages to me without any agreement from my end from two years & now even after registration I still can't do anything or fix this!
