rvyfe (rvyfe) asked a question.

Azure Active Directory integration with Okta as IdP

I was looking at the documentations for integrating Azure Active Directory with Okta, and I noticed that all of the documentations show steps that change the IdP to Azure. Is there currently a way to integrate Azure and Okta while keeping Okta as the primary IdP?

  • Hello @rvyfe (rvyfe),

Yes, it is possible to configure Okta as an IDP, This is where you'll find the information you need to manage your Azure Active Directory integration, including procedures for integrating Azure Active Directory with Okta and testing the integration:

    https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Provisioning/azure/azure-integrate-main.htm

You can always open a case with Okta Support if you would like further assistance in this setup.

    Regards,

    Natalia

The information you provided directs me to what I have been reading before, which says that the only way to test integration is to map Azure attributes with Okta attributes and assumes that you've already made Azure an IdP.

My question is: if Okta is already an IdP and we just want to integrate with Azure, do we have to register Azure as an IdP?
