Update Okta Username (Sign in Name) with changes from Active Directory UPN?

We would like to have the usernames update for users in OKTA from Active Directory as we are converting our UPNs over to a different UPN suffix. However, while the attribute change is recognized upon an import, the username never updates within Okta to reflect the updated UPN for the user?

For example, user SY123@contoso.net we are changing to SY123@contoso.com, but the attribute change never updates the Okta username and I am unsure why. We are trying to make this change to avoid having all users create new accounts in Okta and re-enroll.

We do have a support case open but it's been days and support hasn't really been able to come to a conclusion so asking the community for help.

    Hi Steven Yurgelevic,

While testing in our environment the username is updating with UPN Changes. To know little more would you able to share the logs & provisioning configuration Screenshot (Active Directory to Okta). Also ensure that you have done a full import.
