Audience parameter deprecated in Authentication API - what to use instead?

Hi,

I found out that in the latest release(2021.9.2)(https://developer.okta.com/docs/release-notes/2021/*audience-parameter-deprecated-for-the-authentication-api) the audience parameter was deprecated, the release notes didn't mention what to use instead, is there any way to get similar functionality using another parameter? or another way?

my use case needs to allow authentication only for users that are associated with a specific app, OAuth 2.0/Open ID is not suitable for this particular use case.
