How do I integrate Okta with Mosyle?

Integrate your Mosyle account with Okta for user authentication with Single Sign-On or Mosyle Auth 2. To start, go to Organization > Okta.

Setup Okta for Integration

1. Login to Okta
2. Click “Applications” from menu on left
3. Click “Create App Integration” and choose “OIDC – OpenID Connect” and application type “Web application”
4. In the New Web App Integration configuration
   1. App integration name: Mosyle Business, etc.
   2. Upload a Logo if desired (optional)
   3. Grant Type: Authorization Code
5. Sign-in redirect URIs

• https://mybusiness.mosyle.com/
  • https://mybusiness.mosyle.com/oauth-test
  • https://mybusiness.mosyle.com/ssoapp/oauth.php

1. Click Save.
2. After saving, the integration will be created in Okta and will display the Client ID, Secret, and URL for the Mosyle Integration under the “General” tab.
3. Click the “Okta API Scopes” tab and choose to “Grant” access to okta.users.read.self

Configure Mosyle Integration

1. In Mosyle, go to Organization > Okta > Add new profile.
2. Name the integration and enter the Client ID and Secret from your Okta portal.
3. In the URL field, enter the URL found in the Okta domain field. Be sure to preface it with https://
4. When finished, click Test Integration.

Thanks for the write-up. I tried following it, but testing the integration failed. I had to add some information to the Mosyle OAuth configuration page:

Param Name For Access Token: access_token

(Fields)

• Name: name
• E-mail: email
• User Name: preferred_username

(Token)

• Send Via: Header
• Path: /oauth2/v1/token

(Identity Token)

• Send Via: Same as Token
• Path: /oauth2/v1/userinfo

URL: https://{your account name}.okta.com

Authorize Path: /oauth2/v1/authorize

Scope: openid email profile

And then it worked. This was for Mosyle Manager for Education. Hope this helps someone.
