CIAM password reset flow without security question

We're implementing Okta CIAM for our application that our customer interface with and we are trying to use a custom password reset flow where the user does not have to use security questions to reset their password. The flow that we're looking for is the following:

 

  1. User clicks forgot password
  2. Password reset email sent to user
  3. User clicks email link to open password reset screen
  4. User resets password

 

how can one set this up in Okta?

    Hi Ronak,

     

    This can be configured under Security>Authentication>Password, in the password policy there should be an option called "Additional self-service recovery option".

    If this option would not be available in the Password policy, there would be a feature flag that would make it available. If this would be the case, I would suggest filing a ticket to Okta support in order for this to be enabled.
