Is it possible to duplicate an application to have a start point before making changes? For example, some apps have the same logo or some very similar settings...

There is no such option right now.
However, you can technically do it by querying an application via API and re-posting it partially as a new app - API as well.
I'm not so comfortable with the API, I would have preferred to do it directly via the web interface. Hope the feature can be rolled out soon.
