Okta Sign in widget - default value in a dropdown menu

Hello,

My org has an Okta-hosted sign-on widget with several fields for the user to specify, including dropdown menus for Language and Country.

By default, dropdown menus seem to show the first item in the list - in this case, Arabic as language and Andorra as country. We observed that some registering end users would skip those fields during the registration by letting those default values.

To prevent that from happening, we would like to implement one of these options:

  • Remove the default selected values to force the user to select a country and a language,
  • or dynamically preselect a country and a language based on the browser's language.

But we couldn't find how. Is there a way to implement either of those options?
